Louisville, KY, 2019, 24” x 24” x 3”, composed of a single sheet of laser-cut and folded steel, primer, poplar and integral LED lighting. A small wi-fi remote allows the color of the piece to be easily changed at any time. The range of available colors is virtually unlimited. “Cloud Atlas” is one in my ongoing series of “architectural landscapes”.

2019, A small [7” x 7”] paper study model for one in my series of “Cloud Panels”. The model allows me to “see” the surface of a panel before I laser-cut and fold the steel. The full-scale piece will be 30” x 30” x 3” [D] and composed of laser-cut steel, primer, poplar and an integral LED panel with a remote color controller.

W.H.I.T.E., 2021, 21” x 21” x 3”, laser-cut steel, small-diameter magnets, primer and poplar. I've been thinking about irony in American political discourse, the distortion of language, and the subjectivity of truth: Black is White… because that’s what I say it is.

“Cloud Notations” [detail], 2021, a series of three pieces, 12” x 12” x 3” each, laser-cut steel, small-diameter magnets, primer and poplar. “Cloud Notations” was inspired by the weavings of Bauhaus artist Anni Albers.

“Cloudlarking”, 2020, 7” x 7”, hand-cut paper study model. I conceived of this piece as another of my “architectural landscapes”. If commissioned, it will be composed of a single sheet of laser-cut and folded steel, primer, integral LED lighting and poplar. The LED panel will illuminate the work with a virtually unlimited range of color. The color can be easily changed at any time via a hand-held remote. I can make “Cloudlarking” at any size.

2014, cast from recycled light bulbs, lost-wax process. The wax positive—an exact replica of the glass—was hand-turned on a wood lathe. The lid was turned from ambrosia maple. One in a series of “Wood Lathe Vessels”.
